What is internet calling (VoIP)?
Traditionally voice was carried over old copper phone lines. VoIP carries your calls over the internet instead. If you already pay for internet, making calls this way is often a lot cheaper, and it unlocks features the old network never could.
How much is a phone line?
A naked Talk2Me line starts at just $5/month (the T2M-Res 5 plan). There is also a pay-as-you-go “Go Free” option with no monthly fee, and plans up to $35/month that add included minutes and Cloud PBX features.
Are calls between Talk2Me customers free?
Yes. Talk2Me-to-Talk2Me calling is free on every residential and business plan.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. When you switch to Talk2Me your current number can be ported across for a once-off fee of $25.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Talk2Me plans have no long-term contracts, you can change or cancel at any time.
What do standard calls cost outside my plan?
Standard rates are 3c/min local, 5c/min national and 20c/min to NZ mobiles. International rates are available on request.
