Start with what your calling plan includes
Every Talk2Me calling plan includes free calls to other Talk2Me customers, and most business plans include a monthly bundle of local, national and NZ mobile minutes sized for the plan. Incoming calls to your local and 028 numbers are free. For many businesses that means the plan price is the whole story, and calls outside the bundle are the exception rather than the rule.

The types of call and their rates, explained
Once you have used any included minutes, calls are charged per minute by type.
Talk2Me to Talk2Me
Free, always. Calls between your sites, your staff and any other Talk2Me customer cost nothing on every plan.
Local calls
Calls to landlines in your own calling area, for example Hawera to Eltham, or within Whanganui. The lowest per-minute rate.
National calls
Calls to NZ landlines outside your calling area, say Hawera to Auckland. Still low, and usually covered by your bundle.
NZ mobile calls
Calls to New Zealand mobiles cost more per minute than landlines. Business plans include mobile minutes, and mobile minute bundles can be added if you call mobiles a lot.
International calls
Charged per destination and by landline versus mobile. Australia, the UK and North America are very affordable; some destinations cost more. We will send you the current international rate card.
0800 numbers
Calling an 0800 number is free. If you own an 0800 number, you pay for the calls your customers make to it, per minute or with an inbound minute bundle.
Call rate fine print, without the fine print
- All prices we quote are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless clearly marked otherwise.
- Calls are billed in one-minute blocks.
- Included minutes are for normal person-to-person calling and do not roll over month to month.
- Premium and special numbers (such as 0900 and directory services) sit outside bundles and are charged at their own rates.
- Call barring and PIN controls are available if you want to prevent international or premium calls from your account.
- No long-term contract. Change plans as your calling changes.

What is included in my calling plan?
Every Talk2Me plan includes free calls to other Talk2Me customers, and most plans include a bundle of local, national and NZ mobile minutes. The plan cards on our home phone and business phone pages list the exact inclusions and monthly price, incl GST.
How are calls charged once I use up my included minutes?
Calls beyond your bundle are charged per minute at our standard rates for local, national and NZ mobile calls, and per destination for international calls. Standard rates are shown on our phone plan pages, and we will send you a full rate card on request.
What do international calls cost?
International rates vary by country and by whether you are calling a landline or a mobile. Popular destinations such as Australia, the UK and North America are very affordable; others cost more. Ask us for the current international rate card before you call.
Are incoming calls free?
Yes, incoming calls to your local and 028 numbers are free. The exception is 0800 numbers, where you as the business pay for the calls your customers make to you, either per minute or with an 0800 minute bundle.
